Out of Hibernation

Michael came out from his sewing room hibernation today! It was a beautiful day - a bit chilly with temperatures in the 50s, partly cloudy with a few sun breaks and just a few very minor sprinkles. The garden is waking up fast. I love this time of year. The trees are just leafing out,  so when the sun does appear, there is a dappled scattering of sunrays dancing throughout the garden. The birds are singing and busy flitting about building their nests. In these crazy times, this is the only place where I feel totally calm and at ease and can filter out life's unpleasantries. We got a lot done today. Yesterday was even nicer with warmer temps and more sun. I got the tarps off the decks, statues and water features. Today was spent mostly cleaning up, more planting and moving pots around. Meet a new blogger!

I'd like to introduce a new blog to you. My friend Jennifer lives just over the Tennessee state line which is about 20 miles from me. We met a few years ago when she visited my garden. She has a talent for rooting plants and I guess you could call her a rose rustler. Her blog is titled "Confessions of a Serial Tiller" (I love it!) and I'm looking forward to it.     Thanks for the publicity Phillip! I am glad I quit procrastinating and finally got started! I tossed around a lot of titles but this one just stuck with me. Glad to be in the blogging community. Y'all are such nice folks!

    Phillip thanks for pointing out Jennifer's blog... I must admit I love her title. Especially since I could confess to being a serial killer in the garden. I guess my thumb is less green, due to being covered in chocolate from baking.

    I hope the extreme cold has finally left your area and your garden can start preparing for Spring.
