The Wet, Wet Garden

After worrying about the rain deficit (we were below normal for April), Mother Nature generously rewarded us with an abundance of rain this past week. I am not going to complain although I do wish it would skip my off-days. Today (Saturday) is an especially wet day. I ventured out briefly and took a few shots. The plants grow so fast from the rain. Fall is coming

I am beginning to notice some subtle color changes in the garden. This is hydrangea "Twist n' Shout". I am hoping for a colorful autumn.

  1. What an unusual colour 'Twist & shout' is! There really are some interesting ones around these days, which is a pleasant change after the years of pale pink ones, and pale blue ones!

  2. I hope you get your colorful fall. Has the hurricane brought rain to your area? I hope all is well.

  3. Wow, that's going to be a real beauty when it fills up with color! I have Endless Summer hydrangea, and the flowers go from pastel pink to a gorgeous wine color, while the leaves turn burgundy. It's my favorite.
