'Dancing Peacock' Someone needs to write a song... :) With an atmospheric river and 30 mph winds predicted this past weekend, I was afraid the ginkgo, which had just started to turn color, would be stripped. We were lucky though and it remains intact. Gingko 'Princeton Sentry' After the storm... The Black Tupelo (Nyssa slyvatica) changes color from the inside out - The above photo was taken last week. Here it is today - 'Wolf Eyes' Dogwood (Cornus kousa) has never had such pink color - Catalpa bignonioides 'Aurea', Crape Myrtle 'Dynamite' ( Lagerstroemia ), and Persian Ironwood ( Parrotia persica ) - Japanese Maple 'Beni Hime' - Serviceberry 'Autumn Brilliance' ( Amelanchier ) with tree peonies - Stewartia pyschocamellia starts the color show early. What a cute name for a blog, and how nice of you to feature her!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the publicity Phillip! I am glad I quit procrastinating and finally got started! I tossed around a lot of titles but this one just stuck with me. Glad to be in the blogging community. Y'all are such nice folks!
ReplyDeleteWhat an intriguing title of her blog. I will pop over and have a look.
ReplyDeletePhillip thanks for pointing out Jennifer's blog... I must admit I love her title. Especially since I could confess to being a serial killer in the garden. I guess my thumb is less green, due to being covered in chocolate from baking.
ReplyDeleteI hope the extreme cold has finally left your area and your garden can start preparing for Spring.
Cute name and I'm excited to check her out!
