Autumn Vibes

Eupatorium rugosum 'Chocolate' (Snakeroot) with Hydrangea 'Snow Queen' I love autumn - the crisp, cooler temperatures, the rain, and most of all, the fall colors. The year looks to be a nice one. I got back from a trip to Alabama last week and found that the colors were in full swing (unlike Alabama, where the temperatures were lovely with the exception of some mugginess but alas, no color at all).  Japanese Maples are the first thing I think of when autumn comes to mind. Wednesday Vignette

This is Fernando, who has come inside for the winter months. He is currently sitting in a pot of String of Hearts in our little mini greenhouse over the kitchen sink. I think he is ready for summer to return.

Wednesday Vignette is hosted by Anna at Flutter and Hum.

  5. Oh Phillip - that is adorable! I have a feeling I need to find emergency shelter for a lot of hitherto homeless plants before this weekend. It's going to be bad.... Fernando should thank his lucky stars he is not forgotten outside somewhere. Even if the light is slowly returning, it will be awhile before flamingo-friendly temperatures will follow.
