Out of Hibernation
Michael came out from his sewing room hibernation today! It was a beautiful day - a bit chilly with temperatures in the 50s, partly cloudy with a few sun breaks and just a few very minor sprinkles. The garden is waking up fast. I love this time of year. The trees are just leafing out, so when the sun does appear, there is a dappled scattering of sunrays dancing throughout the garden. The birds are singing and busy flitting about building their nests. In these crazy times, this is the only place where I feel totally calm and at ease and can filter out life's unpleasantries. I love this area. It is really coming together. I bet your little pond looks sweet there in the courtyard looking at it from the pergola. How nice to have some wet in July for your garden. Our high yesterday was 96 and I don't have to tell you what the heat index was. UGH... it is to be a cool?? 86 here today. I am not even going to think about the heat index. Seeing all of your plants makes me want to get out there and start planting more.
ReplyDeleteIt's very beautiful. As the trees grow it will get even better.
ReplyDeleteNice flamingo, too!
You will have very happy friends and family sitting around the table, under the pergola, sipping refreshments.
ReplyDeleteIs it begonia bonfire in the hanging planters? I love it.
Yes, that is 'Bonfire'.
DeleteYour garden has progressed so much in the past couple of years. This pergola area is gorgeous!
