Wednesday Vignette - Goldenrod & Beautyberry

Two transplants from last fall - Goldenrod (Solidago 'Fireworks') and Beautyberry (Callicarpa 'Profusion') appears to have made the move with ease.

Wednesday Vignettes are hosted by Anna at Flutter & Hum.

I love Callicarpa. I've never seen it growing down this way, even though the Sunset Western Garden Book claims there's at least one species adapted to our climate.

Success!
Any minute now, those florescent berries will be the only thing illuminating that corner of the garden. They are pretty amazing.

The mix of colors in that photo is lovely. The converging line of the slope and the fence make a great frame for the billowy foliage. :)
